How to use and replace Slime's lift-to-lock air hose heads

Older Green Lever with "Lift-to-Lock" Technology:

Step 1: Start with the green lever in the down position, then firmly press the inflator air hose head onto the tire valve stem.

Step 2: Lift up the green lever to lock the air head onto the tire valve stem.

Newer Black Lever with "Down-to-Lock" Technology: 

Step 1: Start with the black lever in the up position, then firmly press the inflator air hose head onto the tire valve stem.

Step 2: Press down on the black lever to lock the air head onto the tire valve stem.

Step 1: Loosen and pry the head of the chuck away from the collar using a tool such as a small flathead screwdriver or pick.

Step 2: Once loosened, slide the collar down the hose and pull the head off the hose.

Step 3: Insert the bottom of the replacement head into the end of the hose.

Step 4: While holding the head in place, slide the collar up the hose toward the head.

Step 5: Push the collar onto the head. This will require some force. Pro Tip: Try putting the head upside down against a hard surface and using both hands to push the collar down onto the head.

Step 6: Check the fitting to ensure it is secure.
